This year, World Spine Day is being celebrated on October 16. The theme for this year’s World Spine Day is ‘BACK2BACK’, which encourages supporters to focus on spinal pain and disability as a major factor contributing to disease, illness, and low quality of life across the world.

Because we understand the importance of spine health at South Centre Chiropractic Clinic and Summerside Chiropractic, we are celebrating World Spine Day not just on October 16, but all month long. We encourage you to visit us in October to initiate a treatment plan for any spinal issues you may have or to get a general check-up to identify underlying issues.

What Is World Spine Day?

World Spine Day is organized by the World Federation of Chiropractic and recognized on October 16 every year. The aim of World Spine Day is to bring recognition and awareness to spinal pain and disability across the globe. Some 450 million people around the world suffer from low back pain, and spinal issues, including low back pain, remain the single greatest contributor to disability.

This year, World Spine Day will place emphasis on helping people remain spine-healthy through means such as maintaining a healthy weight, observing proper posture, staying active, and more. If you need tips on how to maintain the health of your spine, stop in to see us at South Centre or Summerside.

Celebrate World Spine Day with a Check-Up

If you are experiencing neck or back pain, pay us a visit at either our Summerside or South Centre location, where our team of experienced doctors of chiropractic and other health care professionals will perform thorough exams that reveal the causes of your symptoms. From there, we can devise a treatment plan that gets rid of not just your pain, but its cause, bringing your spine back up to good health.

Some of our patients, though not experiencing immediate symptoms, visit us regularly for spine check-ups so we can unearth potential hidden issues that could affect their health in the future. Through extensive testing, including nerve scans and X-rays, we can get ahead of potential spine problems, securing the health of your spine for the future.
