Lowering Blood Pressure

Written By Summerside Chiropractic Clinic on December 19, 2016

More than half of Canadians over 60 have high blood pressure. Many do not know it. That is why it is often referred to as the "Silent Killer". Simply put, too much pressure in your lines can cause them to burst. Heart vessel- heart attack, Brain vessel - stroke.
Foods to include to lower blood pressure are fresh fruit and veggies high in potassium. Before you go to the market or the grocery store fill your list with these items: spinach, Swiss chard, beet greens, butternut squash, yams, bananas, and cantaloupe.
Foods to avoid are things that do not grow out of the ground or swim in the ocean. Processed foods are loaded with salt. Learn to read the packages and avoid those salty items.
Enjoy eating the good stuff, they are delicious!
