How to Achieve Your New Year’s Resolutions Once and For All

Written By Summerside Chiropractic Clinic on January 2, 2020

South Centre Chiropractic Clinic in Edmonton AlbertaNew Year’s resolutions – everyone sets them, but not everyone keeps them.

Year after year, people end up setting the same goals over and over. Does this sound familiar?

It’s so frustrating!

How would you feel, though, if you were able to stick to your resolutions? Read on to find out how.

How to Achieve Your New Year’s Resolutions: 3 Steps

Wouldn’t it be nice to set and achieve your goals once and for all? You can, if you practice these three tips.

1. Plan Ahead

Don’t wait until January 1 to start planning for your goals. Take time now to plan out what you want to achieve and how you’re going to achieve it. Then, on January 1, you can hit the ground running.

2. Get as Specific as Possible

Specificity prevents you from setting goals that are too ambitious. Plus, having a concrete goal (“losing 10 pounds,” instead of simply “losing weight”) can help you plan out your course of action.

Get specific about

  • What you want to achieve
  • How you’re going to achieve it
  • When you’re going to achieve it.

3. Create a Rewards System

All the time and effort you’re putting into your goals every day – how will you reward yourself for that? Creating a reward system will ensure you stay happy and motivated along the journey.
