Split Leg Squats are Dr. D’s Favourite Kettle Bell Exercise!

 
•It incorporates Balance/Stability
•Safer than Regular Squats
•Engages large Muscle groups
•Activates the glutes which protect low back injury
 
It’s quite common that the glutes don’t operate as well as they should. When the glutes don’t work, the burden falls to the low back which can lead to over use injury especially if you have a subluxation (stuck joint). If your glutes are working well it gives you more margin for low back movement error thus making low back injury less likely.
